The 1938 Ringwood District Football League season was the 12th season of the Australian rules football competition. The Premiership was won by the Kilsyth Football Club, after it defeated Boronia in the Grand Final by 31 points. It was Kilsyth's first premiership.
All clubs from 1937 return for the 1938 season, except Doncaster & Mitcham. They both join the Eastern Suburban Football League (East Section). The two teams taking their place in the Ringwood District Football League are Boronia & Ringwood East. Boronia join from the Dandenong & District Football Association, whilst Ringwood East were in recess for the 1937 season.
